School Identity and Legal Status

Horizon Academy (Elementary) is part of Taipei City Horizon Experimental Education Institution. It operates under Taiwan’s non-school-based experimental education framework and is designed around student-centred, multilingual, inquiry-based learning.

Horizon Academy (Secondary) is the junior high stage of Taipei City Horizon Experimental Education Institution. It extends the Elementary model into Grades 7 to 9, with a stronger focus on subject depth, academic maturity, multilingual development, and future pathway planning.

The Elementary campus is located at No. 12, Guling Street, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City.

The Secondary campus is located at No. 6, Lane 1, Taian Street, Zhongzheng District, Taipei City.

The Elementary stage aims to help students build curiosity, language ability, reading habits, confidence, cooperation, and the ability to connect learning with life.

The Secondary stage aims to help students make learning evidence visible, strengthen critical thinking, deepen cross-disciplinary understanding, build self-management, and prepare for future academic pathways.

Horizon Academy Elementary students’ status is placed in Taipei Municipal Ying-Qiao Elementary School. Ying-Qiao Elementary School supports the institution in areas such as student health checks, student group insurance, competition information, basic learning assessment coordination, and other school-related administrative matters.

The Secondary section has not yet obtained a cooperating registration school. The institution will work with a registration school for health checks, school-safety reporting, student records, and related administrative matters.
